The first conversation is how an engagement starts. Email Robert Foster or call. Describe the rough flow. The reply is a scoped assessment, or a clear reason this is not the right work.
Three facts are enough to tell whether a visit is the right next step. Write them in the email, or have them ready for the call.
Where the work is done. One site, several sites, or a company that just acquired another. Name the locations that have to run the same week.
A merger, a new site, a new platform, a new leader, or an audit date. Say what moved, and what still runs the old way beside it.
Which promise is slipping because ownership is unclear. A handoff, a control, a bill, or an outage that nobody is sure they own.
Robert Foster replies. The note does not go to a queue, and it is not scored by a form. If the work is in scope, the reply names the next step and what a visit would look at. If it is not, the reply says so.
In scope: IT strategy and governance, security and compliance including SOC 2 and PCI, SaaS and what it costs, identity and access, and automation of onboarding, offboarding, and the evidence. AI is in scope only where it can carry steps people already do.
The free consult has no fee. Anything after it is written down before it is scheduled. The engagement types are on the engagements page. Common questions are on the FAQ.
If you are about to post a job, buy another tool, or staff a weekend to cover the gap, say that in the note. The consult is useful when the alternative on the table is headcount. It is also useful when an audit date, a merger, or a platform cutover is already on the calendar and the floor is still running the old week beside the new one.
What you send is used to reply about the work. It is not sold, and it is not added to a list. Coalesce Ops does not publish client names, logos, headcount, or testimonials. If a detail from your operation would identify you, it does not go on this site.
When an engagement ends, the owners, the cadence, and the record stay with you. The point of the work is that your team can run the next week without a consultant in the meeting.
